Surface area: 309,500 Km2 and 2,092 km of coastline

Borders: Oman is situated in the south eastern corner of the Arabian Peninsula. It is surrounded by the sea on two sides, the Sea of Oman to the Northeast and the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean to the Southeast. It has land borders with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the West, the Republic of Yemen to the South, and the United Arab Emirates to the North.

Population: According to the National Centre of Statistics and Information of Oman (NCSI), Oman 2023 estimated population was of 5.083.000 people, of whom 40% were expatriates.

Language: Arabic is the official language but English is also spoken.

Currency: Omani Rial. 1 rial = 2.4 EUR

Religion: Islam is the state-religion and Muslims account for 88% per cent of the entire population.

Form of government: Oman is an absolute monarchy ruled by the Sultan and the government appointed by him.
